Little Treasury Jewelers Set to Move

Little Treasury won’t be “little” for much longer. The store is relocating, across the street, to 2506 New Market Lane as of October 1st. The new location is larger, and will better allow the company to accommodate the growing needs of its customers.

The business has been a mainstay at the Village at Waugh Chapel since 2002, and owners Linda and Steve Hammalian have led the family-owned business through serious growth every year since its founding. Steve comments, “After eight years, we’ve outgrown our current location completely, and our strong growth in the past 12 months has given us the impetus to go ahead and expand now.” The business will be relocating to a free standing building, also in the Village at Waugh Chapel.

Little Treasury will continue to carry a surprising number of major brands. In fact, Linda Hammalian remarks, “We will be adding a number of new lines of fine jewelry and watches.” The new brands to be rolled out in October include jewelry by Cherie Dori and Cordova, and timepieces by Gucci, Perrelet, and Muhle Glashutte. The store is already an authorized dealer for Hearts on Fire, Pandora, Simon G, Roberto Coin, Slane & Slane, Lorenzo, and more. Watches include Ball, Bell & Ross, Vogard, Towson Watch Co., Bathys Hawaii, Tissot, and several others. Also, Linda designs jewelry that is sold under the house name.

Little Treasury has been a successful Pandora Jewelry Gold dealer for several years, but with the expansion, the store will incorporate a Pandora Shop-in-Shop. Steve Hammalian says, “There will be a whole corner of the store dedicated to Pandora. The Shop-in-Shop will allow our customers even more of a selection, effectively doubling our current inventory. It will be located right next to the coffee bar.” Linda adds, “It’s like all you can eat, but instead, all you can pick up. Having the full selection will help everyone build the bracelet they really want.”

The store has a thriving watch business, specializing in niche brands that attract collectors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. The larger facility will allow both more in-case watches on display, space for shipping, and a dedicated area for its growing watch repair component. Little Treasury was pleased to be named one of the Leading Watch Retailers of 2010 by International Watch Magazine.

Repair and custom jewelry design and fabrication will be accommodated by a spacious new customer service area, including a clean area for laser welding, engraving, and quality control activities. Little Treasury Jewelers is embarking on a new excursion, which is an exciting move for the entire community. Linda sincerely says, “Thank you for all of the customer support. Community matters. And thank you to all of our loyal customers. Without this support, the move wouldn’t be possible.” The Hammalians plan a gala celebration of their new store on October 14, 15, and 16, with a ribbon cutting, an appearance by Miss Maryland, Lindsay Staniszewski (Little Treasury is her official jeweler), and many representatives of the brands the store carries.
